Wow, is it that time? If that is the case, it can go nowhere better than the celebration dinner table, with glasses of champagne raised in the air as you echo “Cheers”! Marriage is an extremely important decision in one’s life, and if you have decided to share it with someone else very close to your heart, it is indeed a fortunate time for you!

But wedding is not really a free and easy ride. This is the big day, and even though you guys have it much easier than women, still your gal would like you to be present by her side as she makes all the planning. She will not leave you in charge though, as her sharp feminine instinct has guided her to believe that when it comes to yellow mats and bone china, you are as rickety as an old chair.

However, do not rest in peace. There is practically one main thing that is expected of you, and that is to choose the best gifts for groomsmen . This is an important job, and most guys leave it unattended until the last minute, when they realize to their own horror that they have nothing to gift their groomsmen with. When you have picked out your groomsmen, the first thing you should do is start wondering what you can give them to make them happy. Here are some tips:

• Find out what your groomsmen like. Are they in need for new wallets? Or perhaps they want a cool game show to spend their evening at? Do they like to camp? You could take them out for a weekend at Las Vegas as well, if that is possible.

• Or you may prefer to give a money clip or cufflinks. For those who like leather and tools, give something along those lines.

• Maybe your groomsmen work from home based businesses and would prefer items for their home offices or homes. Like coffee mugs, or glassware, or even crystal show pieces.

• If your guys like to drink and smoke, you can easily take them to a club or something. That will be a cool way to hang out with the guys.

• How about opting for tradition and personalizing your gift. Perhaps you may want to have initials, the date or other memento engraved.

Whatever you choose, just keep it simple. It’s best to work out your gift giving and other wedding plans early on to avoid chaos later!
