The problem could simply be you’re experiencing lots of stop and go signs, or it may take a lot of grueling effort to have the relationshiop run smoothly. Don’t get me wrong, a relationship does take effort, but they do not need to be hard work. Communication is fairly easy. You can feel free to say what is on your mind. When situations become intense, and they will, you have the courage and peace of mind to smoothe things over later on by taking responsibility for your actions or words.
A lot of us carry over trust problems from previous relationships, or sometimes childhood problems and traumas. The intense feelings from these past experiences can be a real player in our ability to attract and keep a lasting loving relationship. That was unfortunately true in my case, and I wasn’t capable of freeing myself from past emotional experiences until I acquired help from a Life Coach. The beginning step is to discover truly what recurrence you have in play that’s preventing you from truly living and then clear it out.
You have ended a non-functioning relationship that does not fit you anymore. It was difficult to stop the situation, because it was not horrible, although your heart wished to be completely fulfilled in love.
