It is important to note that an abusive relationship does not have to be be one where your spouse inflicts any physical harm on you. Although domestic violence of this kind is the most common type of abuse that we hear of these days, verbal abuse can be every bit as, if not at times, more severe than a physically abusive relationship. Very rarely do women , whose husbands don’t hit them, notice that they are in a verbally abusive relationship.
