Wedding days are certainly a very specially day for both the bride and groom. Lots of time and effort go into making this celebration of love run smoothly and insure everyone has a great time. That said, given all the excitement and emotions, people tend to lose their heads a little and this can lead to some pretty big oversights. Here are 3 very important things to bear in mind at every stage of the planning process.

Allow plenty of time for planning. This might sound a little obvious, but you would be surprised just how many people leave things until the last minute and then panic when something goes wrong. You should really account for every eventuality you can, plan everything you can as early as possible, and ask lots of people to double check things for you, just in case you have missed something.

Be careful with your money. One of the most common things that happen when planning a wedding is that people lose sight of the budget and spend cash they don’t have. What you have to remember is that weddings are not about how lavish you can make them, but about who you are marrying and who is there to witness the occasion. If you have the money then by all means you can book the most amazing wedding castles, but don’t blow money that you will spend years paying back.

Involve the family. Wedding are predominantly about the two people getting married, nobody can deny that. But keeping the other people you hold dear out in the dark with regards to your plans it not advisable. Parents, siblings, children and even good friends often don’t get much of a say on the day, but if you ask for their input in certain areas you will make them feel needed and they will likely enjoy the day a whole lot more as well. You could ask them to book the wedding hotel for you, or just organize the flowers. Whatever it is, it will help bring everyone closer together on the big day
